HOW TO REGISTER FOR CLASSES:
You do not need to be a member to register for a program. We are no longer doing online bookings and credit card processing. To register, please contact “heather@tanglefoot.ca” or “info@tanglefoot.ca” and she will confirm details with you. Our preferred payment method is with e-transfer to “info@tanglefoot.ca” and once received, we will book you in! We also accept debit, cheque or cash payments. Click here for details: Registration
REGULAR SCHEDULE:
ONLINE CLASSES
We have a Livestreaming Intermediate Pilates class on Tuesdays at 4pm, and offer a weekly Strength Circuit recording.
IN PERSON FITNESS CLASSES
The next series of Fitness classes runs from May 12 to June 20, 2025. You can join at any time, for any number of weeks, and register for any combination of classes. Discounts are offered to those taking 3 classes or more per week (and this includes Pilates and Yoga). Please note …. there will be a one week break from June 23 to 29, and then we’ll run a 9 week series run from June 30 to Aug 29 (classes will be running July 1, but no classes Aug 4).
WEIGHT ROOM CIRCUIT – NEW! – This 60min instructed workout is for a maximum of six participants and is available to all fitness levels. Learn how to train properly in a Weight Room, and come away with workout plans to follow on your own. We’re currently offering three time slots, including Monday at 2pm, Monday at 5:30pm, and Friday at 10:30am.
SPIN – These 45min interval rides provide an efficient workout that builds cardio fitness, leg strength and stamina. These workouts are Wednesdays at 10:15am.
STRENGTH CIRCUIT – These 50min full body resistance workouts include a variety of workout formats to build whole body strength and stability. Open to all fitness levels, these sessions are currently running Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 12:00pm.
CARDIO STRENGTH CIRCUIT – Enjoy creative formats that target cardio, strength, balance and core stability. Great for ski conditioning! These 60min combination workouts are Wednesdays and Fridays at 9:00am, and Thursdays at 5:30pm.
IN PERSON PILATES CLASSES
PILATES ESSENTIALS – This beginner class focuses on the principles of STOTT Pilates mat training. We follow a progressive learning approach in this program, gradually building the connection with our core, and developing the foundation for improving strength and stability. Please let us know if you’d like your name on the interest list for this program. We’re hoping to run a series this summer, with one evening class (most likely Tuesday) and one daytime class (most likely Thursday).
PILATES INTERMEDIATE – These classes are for those who’ve completed the Essentials program and are ready for more challenge, and the integration of small equipment. The Intermediate classes include a hybrid (in-person and livestreaming) class on Tuesday at 4:00pm, and in-person classes on Tuesday at 5:30pm, Thursday at 9:15am and Thursday at 10:30am. The next session runs from Tues, May 13 to Thur, June 19, 2025. There will be a one week break from June 23 to 29, and we’ll start a 9 week summer session from July 1 to Aug 28.
PILATES REFORMER TRAINING – Heather also offers private or semi-private Reformer training (2 people max). Based on Pilates principles, the Reformer has a moving platform, tension springs and various accessories to both support, and challenge the body. A great approach to building whole body strength and stability. Please contact Heather directly to discuss this option.
IN PERSON YOGA CLASSES
All levels of experience are welcome, and these classes are accessible with registrations for six week sessions, or drop ins may be available, space permitting.
YOGA with Brooke
This class designed to help you connect with your body, release tension, improve mobility and achieve a deep sense of peace. Brooke has a gentle, therapeutic approach and welcomes all levels of experience. This class is Tuesdays, from 9:15 – 10:30am (to June 24), and there will also be a four week series July 8 to 29). You can join at any time, or drop in when convenient.
CHAIR YOGA
This is a gentle Chair Yoga class suitable for those with limited mobility, or those recovering from surgery, or anyone looking for a modified yoga experience. This class will help participants build strength, stability, and mobility through seated and standing poses and movements. Each class will end with a restorative practice to reduce stress and promote emotional well-being. This class is currently on hold. Please let us know if you are interested in this program!
HATHA YOGA AND MEDITATION with Stephanie
Experience relaxation and the joy of moving your body with this 75min Hatha yoga and meditation practice. In Hatha yoga the postures are performed gently and slowly and are typically held longer to get the most benefit. In this contemplative practice you observe the thoughts, emotions, sensations and actions that are in and around you while remaining non-reactive. Classes incorporate a series of warm-up exercises followed by standing, seated and floor postures, ending with guided meditation. This class is Monday mornings, now from 10:00 – 11:15am, and the next series is June 2 to July 7.
HEART CENTERED MEDITATION with Stephanie
Start your day and your week with a heart-centered meditation practice. Cultivate stillness and presence while centering your attention into the Heart. Experience different techniques to quiet the mind and explore a deeper awareness of the Heart Center. Bring your own meditation cushion and/or props to ensure you are comfortable. Chairs are also available. The next series will be Mondays, from 9am to 9:45am, June 2 to July 7. This will be available with drop in, or registration, and Hatha Yoga participants will receive a discount.
YIN YANG YOGA with Stephanie
Experience the yin and yang energies with this 75min yoga practice. In Yin Yang yoga you feel the joy of moving the body while cultivating presence and deeper awareness of the yin (feminine) and yang (masculine) energies in and around you. The practice includes mindful sun salutations to warm-up the body, followed by a series of standing, seated and floor postures, ending with guided meditation. This class is currently on hold. Let us know if you’re interested in future offerings!
IN PERSON DANCE CLASSES
BEGINNER ADULT BALLET with Diana Dearden – NEW! This traditional ballet class incorporates a warm up, barre, centre, and stretch. It is open to all beginners and includes a brief floor barre to encourage proper alignment, strengthening, and technique. Come explore the joy of movement set to a soundtrack of the greatest ballets. Anna Malvin will be co-teaching this series with Diana, and these classes are Mondays, from 5:15 – 6:30pm, and the next series is May 26 to June 23 (5 weeks).

CREATIVE DANCE for Kids (Age 7 – 11) with Laurence Rondeau-L’Ecuyer
Delivered in a fun a collaborative atmosphere, this program is designed to help students develop spatial awareness, rhythm, imagination and sensitivity while exploring movements inspired by contemporary and jazz dance. This class is running on Wednesdays, from 5:15 – 6:15pm, and this includes a 6 week series from Feb 5 to Mar 12, followed by a 12 week series from Apr 2 to June 11, 2025.
CONTEMPORARY DANCE with Laurence Rondeau-L’Ecuyer
This program is ideally suited for those with previous dance experience. Participants will explore floorwork, core mobility, body flow and spatial awareness, enjoying freedom of movement through structured improvisation and choreographed patterns. This class is running on Wednesdays, from 6:30 – 7:45pm, and this includes a six week series from Feb 5 to Mar 12, followed by a 12 week series from Apr 2 to June 11, 2025.
